About the book:
Genetically engineered identical twins Kyle and Connor McAdams were born two years apart and couldn't be different. Kyle is the all-star of the school while Connor lets his brother shine while he is preoccupied with video games. But when Connor suddenly dies from a heart attack, Kyle learns of other genetically modified kids who've also started to die on their eighteenth birthdays. Connor now must track down the mysterious Dr. Mueller and unravel his genetic experiments and do it quickly before he becomes another perfect, blue-eyed corpse.
About the author:
Debra Dockter is a two-time winner of the Kansas Voices writers' competition in the area of short fiction. She graduated from Wichita State University with a double major in creative writing and psychology. She also obtained a Master of Science degree from Friend's University. Prior to working several years as a child and adolescent psychotherapist, she danced for the Tennessee Festival Ballet Company and spent weekends being sawed in half by a professional illusionist. Debra currently teaches behavioral science courses at Cowley College and resides in Haysville, Kansas with her husband and three children. DEADLY DESIGN is her debut novel.
